The SHAF Fall Work Day will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to about 12 or 1:00 p.m. We will be working on National Park Service property, so hand tools only.
The project will be removing non-native vegetation from the East Woods, which is an on-going problem. Please bring water, gloves, and tools. These will be provided for those who do not bring their own. Dress for the weather, and we will cancel for heavy rain. SHAF has been preserving and protecting historic sites related to the Battle of Antietam, the Maryland Campaign, and other Civil War activity in the region since 1986.
